FAQs

Q. What time does class begin and end?

A. Our scheduled classes are from 8am to 4pm each day. On-site classes can be scheduled to begin and end at your normally scheduled times, if desired.

Q. How far are you from the airport, and do any nearby hotels offer shuttle service to/from the hotel and your facility?

A. We are located approximately 45 minutes from the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and less than 15 minutes from the Sanford International Airport (SAN). We partner with several local hotels and some offer shuttle service to the Orlando airport, our offices, and other locations. Check out our partner list of Sanford hotels for more information.

Q. Is the test for certification given within the class time frame?

A. Yes; you do not have to schedule additional time for testing.

Q. How long does it take to recertify online?

A. The online exercise takes between 6-8 hours. Once you sign up and create your user information you have 10 days to complete the exercise.

Q. How long does it take to get my certification card?

A. Approximately 25-30 business days after completion of the program or online recertification.

Q. I have a Mobile Crane Operator card that says “certification” on it. Does that mean I’m nationally certified?

A. OSHA’s ruling in 2010 requires that all crane operator “certifications” through a training organization be called a “qualification”. To become a nationally certified operator you need to go to a nationally accredited company such as Crane Institute of America Certification (CIC)

Q. How long is my certification or qualification from CIA good for?

A. All our certifications/qualifications are valid for 2 years with a 90-day grace period.
