Forklift Inspector and OperatorThis is an essential training program for personnel who inspect and operate industrial and/or rough terrain forklifts. Students will become knowledgeable of the OSHA and ANSI inspection requirements, receive pre-operational and periodic inspection checklists, and learn how to properly document the inspection. Safe operating practices and procedures are also covered. Inspector and operator certifications, which provides additional credentials, are available for those that qualify.

Certification/Qualification Requirements:

Operator Certification Requirements

  • Complete a Crane Institute of America Forklift Inspector & Operator training program.
  • Pass a written examination.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience operating forklifts. (A trainee certification is available for personnel who do not meet experience requirements.)
  • Possess the physical ability to safely operate a forklift.

Inspector Certification Requirements

  • Complete a Crane Institute of America Forklift Inspector & Operator training program.
  • Pass a written examination.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years forklift experience working in a capacity of operation, maintenance, repair, inspection, safety or supervision. (A trainee certification is available for personnel who do not meet experience requirements.)
  • Possess the physical ability to perform inspections of forklifts.
