For the second year, Crane Institute of America and Crane Institute Certification (CIC) provided a scholarship for training and certification through Florida Crane Owner's Council (FCOC). This scholarship allows one crane operator to attend a 4 day Mobile Crane Operator Training Program and take the CIC Mobile Crane Operator Certification Exams at our headquarters near Orlando, Florida.

On September 13, during the FCOC meeting in Orlando, the winner of the scholarship was announced. We would like to congratulate Mr. Jimmie King of Bryson Crane Rental. Mr. King has 10 years experience with cranes and is qualified to operate boom trucks and telescoping boom cranes. He is also a qualified rigger and signalperson.
We are pleased to see Mr. King receive training and become a certified crane operator. It is a united effort by both employers and employees to assure a safer lifting industry.
