Aerial lifts are designed to lift workers safely to elevated workplaces. Although not specifically designed to lift workers, forklifts (both fixed-carriage and telehandler) can be used to elevate personnel. However, workers must be lifted by a certified forklift operator in an engineered personnel platform (not a pallet!) secured to the forks, and they must follow stringent rules.
