Master Rigger

Qualified Rigger/Signalperson is a prerequisite before attending the Master Rigger training program. (Classes are scheduled on consecutive days so you can attend both in the same week.)

The Master Rigger course is for experienced riggers who have the math skills and want to pursue further credentials.

Students who qualify can earn a CIA Qualification or the program can prepare students for becoming CIC certified as a Master Rigger.

  • Using load blocks to move loads vertically, horizontally and up inclines

Requirements for Master Rigger Qualification

  • Complete the Crane Institute of America Qualified Rigger/Signalperson training program
  • Complete the Crane Institute of America Master Rigger training program
  • Possess physical ability to perform tasks required of a Master Rigger
  • Document at least three years advanced rigging experience
  • Pass Rigger/Signalperson and Master Rigger written examinations
