CIC Practical Examiner Training Course
The CIC Practical Examiner Training Course is a requirement for certified crane operators who want to become Authorized CIC Practical Examiners. Through this 3-day program, taught by one of our experienced Practical Examiners, students will receive instruction about every aspect of practical exam administration in accordance with CIC standards.
Requirements for CIC Authorized Practical Examiner Applicants
- Interested applicants must submit an application for review and approval by CIC prior to attending the class.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, which will be verified by the applicant’s current and valid government issued photo ID card (driver’s license, passport, or military ID).
- To apply, applicants must also hold a current and valid crane operator certification from CIC or other nationally recognized accredited certification organization. Please note that Non-CIC applicants must provide a clear, readable copy of their certification card (front and back of card).
- Applicants must agree to maintain compliance with all OSHA and ASME standards for crane operators, CIC Practical Examiner Policies and Procedures as found in the CIC Practical Examiner Handbook, and the CIC Code of Ethics & Substance Abuse Policies.
- To achieve authorization, applicants must complete the full course and take and pass the Practical Examiner test.
